I grew up on a farm in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where the snow lays a heavy blanket over everyone for a good eight months of the year.  Outside was cold, harsh, beautiful wilderness. Inside was our blazing woodstove, food, family, and making things.  I have loved and needed drawing for as far back as I can recall.  I attended Northern Michigan University and earned my BFA in Painting and Drawing in 1998.  I lived in Minneapolis, MN for a few years after graduating, and then moved to New Hampshire in 2000 where I could once again live in a more rural setting.  I live in Rindge, NH with my husband and our rat terrier. I work on a few different bodies of paintings and drawings at all times so I can address different areas of interest or necessity in my life.
